Love Never Forgot You.
Daughters, Let’s Connect
I am Milana Nelson—author, poet, and mother, also known as Galina, or Galya.
This page is dedicated to my daughters, Angie Petrichenko and Annie Nelson. In the year 2011 we were wrongfully and violently separated in the United States, despite being a legal American family.
Our separation was unlawful, discriminatory, and devastating. We were not protected by the system—we were shattered by it. What happened to us should never happen to any mother or child in this country.
After we were torn apart, I suffered a heart attack, became homeless, and was left without money, protection, without you — my children. I survived. And I never stopped loving you. I never stopped loving our country, the USA.
I have never stopped praying, searching, writing with you in my heart. My voice may have been silenced once—but now I speak loud and clear:
You are not forgotten. The USA is not a country of dictators. We can voice our family together again. Let us reunite. We are not refugee in the country. We are meant to be together. We are meant to be a happy, healthy, wealthy family, loving and lovable.
Our reunion shall become a new chapter not only in our family history, but it shall also become a new chapter in the history of the USA. Because stories like ours have to be loud. The mistakes that shaped our family separation have to be corrected and never repeated again. Let us make it happen. Not only for you and me. Let us make it happen for the world. You are always welcome. Please reach out through this website, social media, or anyone you trust.
With eternal love,
Mom — Galina Nelson
