Milana Nelson is an American writer, songwriter, poet, and mother of Russian origin whose voice was forged in resilience and courage.

In 2006, she immigrated to the United States with her eldest daughter, Angelina, to reunite with her American husband. Her youngest daughter was born in the United States. For four years, they built a life rooted in love. Then, in Washington State, everything collapsed: wrongful arrests and persecution, life-and-death experiences, and years of traumatic separation from her family, alone and homeless.

Those darkest years transformed Galina into Milana, through restless, courageous devotion to her family, faith, and the virtues she never abandoned.

Today, she writes across music, prose, poetry, and personal narrative, weaving immigration, motherhood, faith, and resilience into work born from years of research, travel, lived experience, and revelation. Her work reflects on love and offers practical solutions to social and family-law challenges in the United States, truths she has fought to speak despite repeated attempts to silence her.
