🔨 Overturn Tables: A Call to Righteous Action for America’s Afflicted

Good morning, fellow patriots and members of the righteous community!
We stand today at a crossroads, where the fundamental promise of support for legal, permanent residents and citizens of the USA is being ignored. When we look at the rising tides of suffering, we must ask ourselves: What would Jesus do?
The portrait of Jesus Christ is often softened to focus solely on his suffering. But we must remember the Christ who was a radical advocate for justice, the God who actively helped the afflicted and marginalized populations who were failed by tyrannical or indifferent authorities.

The Righteous Indignation of Christ

Recall the powerful moment in the temple, where Jesus, fueled by righteous indignation, physically overturned the tables of the money changers. He saw a corrupted structure—the very house of worship—being used for exploitation, turning a “house of prayer… into a den of thieves” (Matthew 21:13). He didn’t just pray for change; he enacted it, even though it brought him into direct conflict with the established powers and caused him great trouble.
This act was not about violence; it was about proactive justice. It was a bold, visible challenge to a system that profited by taking advantage of the faithful and the poor.
Today, many legal Americans, like myself, feel trapped in a system that ignores our vital needs. Our government, which is supposed to fight for our rights, has instead, in my personal experience, chosen to take advantage and ignore the financial and emotional needs of its citizens and their children. For the sick, the benefits provided by governmental health insurance often sustain illness rather than leading to a cure, making money the true “medicine”. I found, that decent healthcare in the USA was available when I was able to pay for it.

We cannot stand by while corrupted structures, be they in government or even other institutions, take advantage of legal individuals. We must overturn the tables and channel the money flow back to the individuals to whom it belongs.

The Financial Crisis on Our Streets

Are we alone in this struggle? Look at the growing evidence on our streets. The rise in homelessness suggests that many families may have experienced a similar, devastating drama—torn apart by systemic error and left unrestored financially.
According to the latest data from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), an estimated 771,480 people experienced homelessness on a single night in January 2024, the highest number ever recorded. This total is a significant increase, reflecting an 18% jump from 2023. Even more tragically, homelessness among people in families with children saw the largest single-year increase, rising by 39%. This means nearly 150,000 children experienced homelessness.
This massive displacement and financial distress are not simply inevitable; they are a sign that the nation’s financial resources are being misdirected, flowing into the wrong channels instead of supporting the foundation of our society: its legal citizens and families.

The Immediate Threat: The SNAP Crisis

The urgency of this call to action is underscored by the current federal financial instability. Like many others, I experienced the direct consequence of this mismanaged flow when my modest Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP/food stamps) benefits were disrupted. My $268 benefit, vital for purchasing food, was not received as expected due to the most recent concerns regarding the US government shutdown.
As of the latest reports, this situation has escalated to the highest levels of the judiciary. Although a federal appeals court initially upheld an order requiring the administration to provide full SNAP benefits for November, the Trump administration took the matter to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has since issued an emergency order temporarily blocking the full food aid payments for November. This means that millions of low-income Americans, including those like me who depend on this assistance, face uncertainty and potential further delays or reductions in crucial food aid.

Our Mandate: Give Money Back to the People

The time for passive suffering is over. We must follow Christ’s example of proactive, unwavering action against systemic injustice.
Our unified demand must be clear: Give Money back to the legal permanent residents and citizens of the USA.
This means demanding transparency and accountability from all structures—both governmental and otherwise—that handle funds intended for the public good. We must protest and speak up  to ensure that financial resources are channeled directly to the homeless, the sick, and the afflicted, providing real solutions and not just sustaining broken systems.
Let the righteous fire that compelled Jesus to overturn the tables ignite a movement in us. Let us become the bold advocates our communities need. We are not just waiting for the kingdom of God; we are actively making its justice a reality, here and now.
