Opened Letter to the People of the USA

My name is Milana Nelson (also known as Galina Nelson). I stand today as one of the brave and free Americans honoring Memorial Day with gratitude and reverence. I am alive — and I consider that a blessing — because many people have lost their lives in the long battle I have been standing in since 2010, when my family was targeted by groups acting in the spirit of socialistic and communistic communities, adversaries of the Constitution of the United States and of the freedoms it protects.

My children and I have served this country through voluntary social, political, and intellectual work — through faith, loyalty, resilience, and through our witness. Since the year 2010 we have witnessed injustice, yet we continue to believe in the justice we shall achieve, because the Constitution of the United States must protect us, our rights, and honor the work we have carried out in its defense.

My grandparents stood against Nazi tyranny during World War II and later served as civilian workers helping rebuild devastated communities. Their courage shaped my childhood. I grew up with them in a Russia crushed by Bolshevism but never stripped of its spirit — a Russia that celebrated victory over Nazism and held deep respect for the sacrifices of the American people.

I came to the United States to reunite with my American family, believing in the promise of freedom and the protection of constitutional rights. Instead, in 2011 I found myself torn apart once again by adversarial forces — groups acting in the spirit of socialistic and communistic communities that oppose the very principles this nation stands for. These forces have sought to break families, silence voices, and undermine the foundations of American liberty.

I had found, that my family’s roots in the United States run deep. We also carry a long history of connection with Russian‑American intelligence circles and a faithful Christian community that has always believed in truth, service, and the defense of human dignity. These ties have shaped my understanding of freedom and strengthened my resolve to stand firmly on the side of the Constitution of the United States — on the side of children and families — because the Constitution protects family rights and the liberties that sustain them.

I speak today with the conviction of a mother, a citizen, and a woman who has stood for the Constitution through years of adversity. My family’s journey — marked by service, sacrifice, and unwavering loyalty to this nation — reflects the endurance of the American spirit. Mothers and children could be harmed and silenced by injustice, and I stand for those who cannot speak for themselves. Not anymore. We stand for faith, justice, and truth, and we trust that the Constitution of the United States will prevail over the forces that opposed it. This nation has always honored those who stand firmly for truth, and I believe it will do so again.

I respectfully request your attention to the documented harms, the failures that allowed them to persist, and the urgent need for freedom and restoration for my family through Legal Separation that I recently filed in the court of the USA in Whatcom County, WA.
