Yes, the world may echo the old saying, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.” But what if the Romans are dancing toward destruction? What if their customs contradict the Gospel of Jesus Christ—the very truth that sets us free?

This chapter reminds us that truth is not a trend. It is eternal. It does not bend to culture, politics, or popularity. When the world goes mad, truth remains sane. And when we cling to it—when we refuse to be swept away by the tide of compromise—Jesus Christ Himself becomes our anchor.

We are not called to rebellion for rebellion’s sake. We are called to discernment. To know when to walk with the crowd, and when to stand apart. To recognize that obedience to Christ may look like disobedience to the world. And that’s okay.

Because when we are steady in truth, persistent in love, and unwavering in our witness, we make room for divine intervention. We invite Jesus to step in—not just to rescue us, but to reveal Himself through us.
