Stepping into Bright Future with Unlimited Resources.

April 13, 2025

This is an essay I wrote recently for my college program. I want to share so my friends and children could read and relate. I miss you so very much. Let’s connect!

Scripture John 1:1 the holy Bible, says, “In the beginning there was word, and the word was with God and the word was God”. The scripture teaches to start every new enterprise, business, deed, and goal etc., where we can say “I begin …“, with God and with the word God. It might be a little confusing, but everything become clear when we begin thinking about God with love and call our God, Love, as Bible teaches in the scripture 1 John 4:8: “Whoever does not know Love, does not know God, because God is Love”. Furthermore, four principles of Perseverance are, 1. Know your purpose; 2. Step into Unknown; 3. Deal with Disappointment and 4. Use Limited Resources. To persevere, as a Disciple of Jesus Christ I can turn the fear into courage, the limited resources into unlimited possibilities and I can step into a bright future rather than into unknown and scary uncertainty, when I begin with Love in my thoughts and in my language every day, and then adjust my deeds accordingly to the advice of the Holy Ghost.

In his speech “The Importance of Prayer”, on April 1972, Elder Franklin D. Richards, the Assistant of the Council of the Twelve, calls prayer, “The primary method of communication between God and man”. Thinking how crucial a thoughtful prayer can be in everything what we are doing, it comes to me that the first thing I shall do to find new ways overcoming fear and limited resources is a prayer. When we converse to our Lord in true faith, we can make miracles. It is like having our Lord always on our side or asking our Lord to join us. Psalm 27 encourages to communicate to Lord always when there is a need to overcome fear: “The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?” The first thing I can do to persevere, is to pray to my Lord Jesus Christ for the best way to achieve my purpose.

Doctrines and Covenants 19:38 says, “Pray always and I will pour my spirit upon you, and  great shall be your blessing, – yea, even more than if you should obtain treasures of earth and corruptibleness in the extent thereof.”  Therefore, the next thing I can do to overcome fear and poverty, is to follow the prompts of Holy Ghost, revealed through the sincere prayer. It is a well-known fact among the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, that a sincere prayer can do miracles. If Lord could move mountains and part ocean water, raise people from dead and heal terminally ill, it will not be a problem for our Lord to teach me what I shall do to overcome fear and limited resources. God unveiled to Noel the ways to build a ship and preserve life on earth during the Great Flood, He taught Lehi the way to come to the Promised Land and he gave strength to Nephi to change the unfavorable circumstances. None of the people was perfect. They made a lot of errors and yet they received many blessings and knowledge for their true faith and commitment to our Lord.  My true believe is that no one important discovery ever come to our scientists without God’s divine intervention. I believe that there is God behind every great deed. Therefore, the second thing that I can do to persevere, is to follow the prompts of Holy Ghost I receive through my prayer.

In conclusion, I want to emphasize again how important it is to consult our Lord every day and every time when we are in doubt, when we are to make an important choice and when we are overcoming life challenges such as fear and limited resources. The miraculous knowledge I receive through sincere prayer, teaches me how I can adjust my goals on the way to achieve my purpose, find solutions to my problems and overcome challenging life circumstances. Miraculously, as a true disciple of Jesus Christ, I can turn life challenges into empowering discoveries, doubts, uncertain and unknown circumstances into bright future, ideas and solutions and my imperfections into strengths, when I pray properly and follow prompts of Holy Ghost. To conclude, perseverance is a wonderful adventure when we persevere our purposes together with the Lord Jesus Christ and follow His teachings.
